About me

I'm Michael Siroen, founder of ID2Bytes. I started programming at fifteen through game development and built a portfolio by building. I've been doing this as an independent since 2011.

In more than 15 years I've worked for a wide range of organisations: hospitals, logistics companies, government agencies, telecom companies, media agencies and education platforms. What all those projects have in common is that they started with the same kind of question: processes that take too much time, systems that don't talk to each other, or information that's inaccessible.

Last year something fundamental changed in how I work. I've integrated AI into my own operations, with agents that co-build, co-analyse and co-monitor. Not an experiment or demo, but technology that runs daily in production for real processes. That makes me faster and more thorough than you'd expect from a solo consultant.

Why ID2Bytes

The name says it: from IDea 2 Bytes. Every project starts with an idea and ends with working software.

That sounds simple, but in practice it often goes wrong. 69% of AI projects don't make it to production (source: Gartner, 2022). IT projects take months and don't deliver what was promised. Expensive systems gather dust because nobody uses them.

I do it differently. I deliver working software in weeks, not months. I build on the Microsoft ecosystem you already have. And I only deliver when it actually works in practice.

What sets me apart

One person, team output. AI is integrated into every project I deliver. Where a traditional team needs weeks, I deliver in days, with the same quality and documentation.

More than 15 years of Microsoft, not broad but deep. I've worked in the Microsoft ecosystem since day one. Azure, .NET, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio. You notice that depth: I know not just the features but also the pitfalls, the limitations and the workarounds.

Cross-industry experience. Healthcare, logistics, education, telecom, government, media. Every sector brings different challenges, but also solutions that nobody thinks of in other sectors. A workflow that works in logistics can be exactly the answer for an education platform.

From advice to management. I manage the entire process. No handover moments between advisors, architects and developers. You talk to me about strategy and you talk to me when there's a bug.

AI in production, not in presentations. The difference between talking about AI and actually having AI in production is big. I use AI daily in my own operations. What I advise clients, I've applied myself first.

My approach

I believe in starting small and delivering fast. No months-long analysis trajectories, but a first working version within weeks. From there we build further based on real feedback from the people who use it.

I work from Oosterhout, but most projects are remote or hybrid. What matters is the result.
